I am originally a theater professional working in many areas of theatre (directing, design, community theater) and as an actor and director, mostly in England, Mexico and most recently in Estonia. My early career work includes national tours in England as Juliet in a Theatrical Biomechanics inspired production by ProperJob Theatre, a voice over for a toy at Mama's and Papa's and roles in productions of Teatro Participativo, by Nicolás Núnez and the TITUNAM in Mexico City.
I have been deeply interested in actor training, meditation in movement and cultivated practices of the Bodymind for a long time. I have studied different systems of training, including Theatrical Biomechanics, Antropocosmic Theatre, Capoeira, Tai Chi and meditation. My main interest has been on contemplative forms of creation and performance. This interested lead to the PhD in Drama which I achieved in 2013. It explores notions of 'self and no-self' from the Buddhist diaspora, in pre-performative actor training.
Cultivating (alternative) states of being, presence, and the emerging nature of performance are my fascination. My current work is contemplative in nature, and aims at allowing the performance, the script or the event to arise as a co-creative event.
